Judgment Falls

Judges 10:6-10 says, "6 Again the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the LORD. They served the Baals and the Ashtoreths, and the gods of Aram, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the Ammonites and the gods of the Philistines. And because the Israelites forsook the LORD and no longer served him, 7 he became angry with them. He sold them into the hands of the Philistines and the Ammonites, 8 who that year shattered and crushed them. For eighteen years they oppressed all the Israelites on the east side of the Jordan in Gilead, the land of the Amorites. 9 The Ammonites also crossed the Jordan to fight against Judah, Benjamin and the house of Ephraim; and Israel was in great distress. 10 Then the Israelites cried out to the LORD, "We have sinned against you, forsaking our God and serving the Baals." 11 The LORD replied, "When the Egyptians, the Amorites, the Ammonites, the Philistines, 12 the Sidonians, the Amalekites and the Maonites [c] oppressed you and you cried to me for help, did I not save you from their hands? 13 But you have forsaken me and served other gods, so I will no longer save you. 14 Go and cry out to the gods you have chosen. Let them save you when you are in trouble!"
Tonight we bowed our heads and worshipped one who stated, "America is no longer a Christian Nation." We lifted up an idol to one who stated, "...or should we just stick to the Sermon on the Mount...a passage that is so radical that it's doubtful our own defense department would survive its application." Tonight millions of self-professed Christians voted for a man that has voted repeatedly for unlimited and taxpayer funded abortions. Tonight, many who may read this voted for a man that made fun of Christians as, "Rednecks who cling to thier Guns and Religion."
So, before I see another remark from someone who says, "Yeah, I'm a Christian and I read the Bible, and I voted for Obama", you better ask yourself if you are truly proud to have voted for a man who proudly proclaimed "religion is a crutch", we are "no longer a Christian nation(Baal/Ashtoreth ring a bell)", and homosexuality is perfectly okay. Obama said on that same video after his Sermon on the Mount comment, that "Folks haven't been reading their Bible." For once i agree with him!! Because if you had, you would never agree with anything about this man. Don't give me the excuses, don't give me the I'm strong in my faith and serve my church community crap. There is this dynamic with sin. We have sins of commission, which you of course don't do. But, we also have sins of omission. Tonight these "posers" as my friend Butch aptly named them failed to drive something out our presence that is against the very nature of God. A man that lifts himself first.
And so with that, judgement falls on our nation much the same as in Judges 10. But, as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. May God truly have mercy on our souls.
